The OG SandBox Organization and their volunteers could be seen once again at their favorite stomping grounds at Mountain View Park.
They were seen sharing with and caring for the families of the community at their annual Easter Egg Hunt featuring the special Golden (money) Eggs.
“We really do care, that’s how we get down because it’s all about the kids,” OG Vice President Darnell Meals shared.
The annual chase and hunt for fun and prizes took place last Saturday, April 12th, from 10 am to 1 pm. Families were invited to come hang out with the friendly representatives of the OG Sandbox organization, enjoy some free food, and have some easy conversation, including hugs, high-fives, and some laughs.
“We are just out here providing some fun and a good time for everybody. No drama, no stress, just a good time,” OG President Aaron Gibson expressed.
The happy youngsters were able to fill their bags and Easter baskets with plenty of candy, toys, cash-filled golden eggs, joy, and other goodies provided by the OG’s.
“Putting this event together logistically isn’t that easy, but when you see the joy on the kids’ faces and the ‘Thank-yous’ from them, it makes all the work worth it. Let’s do it again,” said President Aaron.
